Our Resolution to Our Community
"The DoveLewis Board of Directors stands in solidarity with those in our community and across the world who are appealing for an end to racism and systemic injustices in our society. As a community-based organization and veterinary leader, we have a moral responsibility to actively champion equity, and to support and create positive change that is aligned with our mission and values as an organization. Our mission, to treat every animal in need and those who care for them, always, has never meant more to DoveLewis....Our Board of Directors and Leadership Team will continue to actively engage with and support our DoveLewis staff to stand against inequity, division, racism, and other injustice brought upon Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community."

What Steps Are We Taking?
Affinity Groups
Affinity groups build community and foster collaboration through a common identity. Together, they can find support, friends, and build a community.
Equity Champions
Equity Champions are active supporters of E&I and its potential to transform our workplace. They help identify opportunities for growth and have access to resources to make a difference
Staff-led Changes
Our staff takes an active role in decision making and culture building. Most recently, the Equity Champions launched an anti-bullying policy
Doing More for Well-being
We have a department dedicated to creating and maintaining a healthy, engaged team and supportive culture.
