Anastasia: A Pet Loss Story

Seventeen years ago, beautiful Anastasia was surrendered to Dove Lewis; she was in bad shape.

 

But,before she went off to the shelter, away from our sanctuary, I fostered her. She recovered well, and grew up well — her behavior, was that of a true cat. Self-perpetuating …

 

• Always wanting fresh water, even if the bowl was fresh, she’d go and sit on 
the tub’s rim, and wait for her cup of water — she was patient

 

• She lived with a dog, three cats, and my wife, and me —she ran the household

 

• Her discipline had balance; her problem solving, had integrity; and
her expressions, had love

 

Beautiful, Anastasia, pasted away, at 17-years-old, of renal failure
