Snowflake's Tough Break
Linda Jeo and Jeffrey Zerba’s window was broken when they arrived home one evening. When they saw shards of glass on the outside of their house, they realized that their cat Snowflake – rather than a burglar – had broken it.
“One of Snowflake’s favorite activities is to sit at the window and try to intimidate the neighbor dog,” Linda said. “We think he got so excited that he slammed his cat tree perch straight through the window.”
As longtime donors of DoveLewis, the Zerbas knew exactly where to go. Dr. Josh Cruz treated multiple cuts from broken glass on both Snowflake’s paw and tongue.
“I can’t say enough about the DoveLewis team,” Linda Jeo said. “This was our second emergency in five years, and it was such a great experience. We were treated so well.”
Snowflake’s family learned that pet emergencies can happen when – and how – you least expect it. "There’s nothing worse than the feeling of helplessness when your pet is ill or injured," Linda said. Thankfully, they knew they could count on DoveLewis to provide excellent medical care.
As for Snowflake, he is back home – and back to his playful self!
